Creating a Multi-Level Internet Presence

January 29 2014

webbox multi level internet presenceOkay, you have decided to be involved in social media marketing. A little late to the party, but great news nonetheless. However, as more and more are finding out, what you say can help you create new streams of business, but also leave you dead in the water.

As I always say: Content is King. And more is better than less. But there is no need to restrict your social media presence to one voice. Setting up a targeted successful social media platform can be done on a variety of levels and set up in a way so that each works its own market niche.

For example, Facebook allows you to set up a main page and then create a nearly unlimited number of additional pages in a variety of categories. This provides a number of opportunities. Here is the proper way to set up your Facebook account for business.

Whether you are a broker or an agent, your Facebook business page should remain a business page and COMPLETELY separate from any personal page you may have. For brokers, this means having two separate Facebook pages if they wish to have a FB presence for office members and staff. Some do, some don't, but this is about marketing pages.

First, you want to make sure to reflect your existing branding/marketing in your social media strategy. Consistency is the key to success. The look, feel, logos, photos, contact info, layout, etc. should remain a constant. I stress this because it takes at least a dozen impressions in today's marketing mania environment for someone to notice you. And then, only if they have a need.
