The Absolute Beginner's Guide to Facebook and Twitter

January 08 2013

Don't know the difference between hash tag and a timeline? Don't worry. These two video tutorials from My Computer Works show you how to get up and running on Facebook and Twitter in less than five minutes.

Part of the "How My Computer Works" educational series, these videos assume no prior working knowledge of social networks. They're easy to follow, so total rookies need not be intimidated. After all, it's never too late to learn about social media!

Watch the video below to learn how to organize photos, post status updates, and add milestones like weddings and graduations to a chronological "timeline" of your life.

With all the RTs, #s, and @s, Twitter users can seem like they're speaking a foreign language. Because of the site's 140-character limit, these symbols and abbreviations are necessary, but are super simple to understand.

Watch the video below to learn everything from registering, tweeting, and finding interesting "tweeps" to follow.
