We conducted a study of nearly 300,000 active, US-based listings to produce a list of the most popular terms used to describe homes for sale and apartments for rent. Some of the results were unexpected and surprising. What word do you think appeared at the top of the list?

Top 3 Most Buzzworthy Terms Used in Listing Descriptions

1. Beautiful

Beautiful is the most frequently used keyword we encountered. Perhaps because beautiful sounds a lot more convincing than ok, nice or fabulous. Or perhaps because homes are each unique and beautiful like great works of art. Must-see, dream and great also ranked highly as descriptors. Use beautiful in your listing description if you want to fit in, or choose a more exciting descriptor like gorgeous, stunning or remarkable if you want to stand out.
