With 2014 just around the corner, agents are starting to think where they'd like to take their business in the next year. It's easy to get carried away by the promise of new beginnings, however, and too many of us make lofty resolutions that prove impossible to keep long term.
But breaking promises to yourself is enough to damage anyone's motivation. This year, resolve to stay on track by setting achievable goals. One real estate expert has a simple plan for helping agents do this--and in only one hour a day. Watch the video below to learn more.
Kelly White, Director of Talent Attraction for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, was one expert selected to provide one-on-one training sessions to the winners of the 2013 HomeFinder.com Agent Makeover Sweepstakes. "My definition of a makeover is a complete transformation," she says. "Deeper, I think about a makeover being a reinvention."
Reinvention is a mindset, according to White, that agents can use to their advantage by thinking of it as a daily practice. She offers three questions to ask yourself to get into that mindset:
"The one thing that agents can do daily to change their business is what I call the 'Prospecting Power Hour,' " White says. She acknowledges that while prospecting is never easy, it's something that can transform your business like nothing else. All it takes is discipline. "One hour every day, five days a week."
