DotLoop CEO Austin Allison Named to Business Courier’s 2011 ‘Forty Under 40’

August 08 2011

dotlooplogoAustin Allison, CEO of Cincinnati-based DotLoop, has been selected for the Business Courier’s ‘Forty Under 40’ class of 2011, which recognizes company leaders, volunteers and actively engaged members of the community. Allison was chosen as a result of his work as CEO of his nationally recognized real estate technology company, as well as his civic engagement in the community and his commitment to success.

Allison oversees the real estate industry’s only technology solution that streamlines the negotiation and transaction process for real estate agents and their clients from “offer-to-close”. As a licensed REALTOR® in the state of Ohio, Allison experienced first-hand the “choke points” that existed within the industry – paperwork, faxes, multiple technologies and eligible documents.  Inspired to move the industry forward, Allison teamed with local technologists to create DotLoop to solve these problems.

Just two years after launching the site, DotLoop boasts more than 100,000 users with some of the most reputable real estate companies like Keller Williams Realty, Inc. as customers.  The company is continuing to experience tremendous growth, and DotLoop hopes to double the number of employees within the next year.

As an established figure among real estate and technology professionals nationwide, Allison frequently speaks at conferences sharing his experiences and insight as a REALTOR® and CEO to move the industry forward. He was honored with the 2011 Regional Chamber Innovator Award and has been recognized by prominent industry publications like Inman News and Real Estate Magazine, along with national outlets such as FOX Business and NBC.

"In a way, Austin reminds me of Steve Jobs at Apple,” said Victor Lund, CEO of RE Technology. “He has created a product that is not underdeveloped or overdeveloped.  This is difficult for a leader, as they are so personally invested in their products – they have a hard time stopping, even when they've hit the 'sweet spot' of usability and functionality. Austin is a leader because he understands this balance."

Beyond Allison’s business prowess, he’s also committed to civic engagement.  A University of Cincinnati graduate, Allison volunteers his time speaking to local university students and aspiring entrepreneurs about his experiences as an entrepreneur and technology innovator.  Allison also works with Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen Foundation and The Mr. Bob  Foundation.

"This award is a true honor, but any leader knows that notoriety isn't earned alone,” said Allison, DotLoop CEO.  I'm fortunate to have amazing people around me that made it possible.  We look forward to continued innovation."
