Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve seen QR codes pop up just about everywhere. But why all the hype? First of all, a QR (quick response) code is  a bar code that can be scanned with a smart phone application that will redirect you to view a webpage, images, video, or pretty much anything you want. QR codes are especially ideal for real estate marketing products because they are extremely interactive, and can be used on anything from real estate flyers to email marketing campaigns. They are great because it makes it much easier for clients to visit your real estate website, listing photos and details, plus much more. If you’re curious, but still stumped on how to integrate QR codes into your real estate marketing products, take a look at how these other real estate agents used QR codes:

Sending out real estate postcards with a QR code can redirect buyers to your website, or a specific listing with photos and details.

This is sort of the same idea as the real estate postcards; a QR code on your business card can redirect clients to your website or your directory of listings.

qrlockbox 166x300Put a QR sticker on your real estate lockbox, which when scanned, will give more details on the property. This is a great idea for unoccupied residences; buyers can get a better look at the property instead of just peeking inside windows.

qrlawnsign2qrlawnsign 300x225This is one of the most common practices for real estate marketing products. Buyers see the lawn sign, pull over, and can scan the code right away, rather than writing down the property details and most likely forget all about it later.

qrdirections 300x261Attaching a QR code to your real estate flyers or emails will import map directions to properties and open houses directly to buyers smartphones when scanned.

qrpropertyflyer 189x300Adding QR codes to real estate flyers is a great way to give buyers more listing details. Try redirecting buyers to more listing photos, or even a video home tour.If you use promotional real estate marketing products at trade shows or giveaways for clients, a QR code will attract more interest and curiosity amongst people.

The best part about using QR codes on your real estate marketing products is that they’re free and extremely easy to generate. Try making one here, it takes about 3 seconds! If you have a smart phone, search for “QR Reader” in your app store, and start scanning away!
