Adopting a new technology can be a challenge for anyone. If you're used to doing tasks a certain way, it's difficult to change that. But, as we all know, the only thing constant is in this world is CHANGE!  Small things can go a long way when it comes to improving agent adoption! Here are six easy ways to help your agents adopt your brokerage's technology:

1. Begin with the Hiring

Hire agents who can manage to learn and master simple tools. Let them know the importance of using these tools to maintain transparency between agents and your brokerage. It is important they come prepared.

2. Start Early

When training new hires, make technology part of the training. If people start using it right off the bat, they're more likely to continue. Provide resources they can go back to and refer. Invest time and effort in your agents for a successful partnership.

3. Show the Value

Remind your agents in meetings, staff events, etc. why you have the technology. You need to emphasize how this technology can help them – it makes their lives easier, makes business more efficient and helps save time. Encourage your agents to make time and learn this tool to their advantage.

4. Keep Agents Engaged

Be a guide to your agents. Share useful information with your agents which they can use to improve their business. Run friendly contests to keep your agents engaged. Healthy competition never hurts!

5. Constant Education

Don't stop after the initial training. Conduct a bi-annual or annual fun training session for all your staff members. Encourage them to share the challenges they faced with the tool and how they resolved it. Trust me when I say, it helps boost your agent's confidence and skill with the software.

6. Stay Updated

Software is ever evolving. There is an upgrade or a brand new feature which releases periodically. Keep your agents updated! Send them materials they can refer to in order to learn new features. Check periodically with your agents to see if they need more training or if they face any challenges.

These are just a few of the ways you can help your agents succeed in their business. Remember if they are successful, YOU are successful.
