RESO Fall Conference Set for San Diego Poised for a Sellout
October 17-19 Meet Features New Data Competition, Bigger Brokerage Track and Ted-Style Talks RALEIGH, NC--(Aug 2, 2017) - One of the hottest real estate conferences in the housing industry, hosted by the Real Estate Standards Organization, or RESO, is headed to San Diego October 17-19, at the uber-hip Pendry San Diego in the heart of the city's Gaslamp Quarter, where some 300 brokerage and technology leaders will converge to help set the course of current and future real estate data standards in the U.S. that powers more than 5 million home sales a year. RESO's fall "Getting Down to Business Utilizing Data Standards" conference follows its sold-out meetings in Chicago and Nashville for its spring and fall meetings last year, and its most recent meeting in Austin this past spring. The keys to this year's expected sellout are three new additions, according to RESO CEO Jeremy Crawford. "This fall, we're showcasing a brand-new RESO DataComp -- a Data Competition sponsored by RPR -- with some big prize money and more details that we'll be announcing soon," he said. "We're also adding an expanded Broker Business Solutions Workshop track that is packed with practical information and presentations that demonstrate the real value of standards for real estate broker-owners. With a stellar speaker line up and RESO Workshop panels that include TED-style talks, we think this could be one of our very best RESO Conferences yet," Crawford added. Among the other RESO conference highlights: Brokerage Business Solutions Workshops will include Eric Bryn presenting "Dynamics of High Wattage Teams." BoomTown's consultant, who is a masterful public speaker, looks at how teams are changing brokerages today and tomorrow. Bryn will examine how real estate teams are accelerating: from effectively and efficiently leveraging technology and underlying real estate data to better serve their clients and agents, to inculcating sharp divisions of labor and specialized roles, to diversifying their business. Also, Scott Petronis, Chief Product & Technology Officer at one of the industry's fastest growing real estate brokerages, eXp Realty, will dive into how broker-owners cut through the clutter of determining one's true brokerage technology needs, including how to map business needs to requirements, and selecting the right features, products, and vendors. He is set to review the "must-have" requirements needed from vendors and their products and share some of the common mistakes with brokers, including some he's even made himself. At the RESO DataComp, attendees can expect a hotbed of creativity and innovation because of the information environment that a data competition fosters. The RESO DataComp will showcase the most innovative, cutting-edge uses of RESO data standards that provide business solutions for the real estate industry. Participants will introduce their data or tool in a highly collaborative, open, and friendly environment, and learn about the other resources in the room. This data competition will be devoted to facilitating conversations and exchanging expert experiences. The DataComp, sponsored by RPR, a Silver Sponsor of the RESO Conference, will wrap up with final presentations that will share the innovations and outcomes in front of a panel of leading industry expert judges. Cash prizes will be awarded for top innovations during the conference. According to Crawford, the mission of the RESO DataComp is "for bold thinkers to explore the opportunities created when ease of access to data is available." "We're scouring Universities and the startup world outside the realm of real estate to find new thinking to help bring fresh ideas to some of our industry's unique data challenges," Crawford said, encouraging those interested to send an email to [email protected] for entry information as soon as it becomes available in mid-August. Space really is limited Because RESO Conferences are designed to provide an intimate networking setting for the brightest minds among technology and business leaders responsible for real estate data standards to easily share and collaborate, space is limited to 325 attendees and is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The headquarter hotel is already sold out and two additional hotels added for conference registrants are nearly sold out. Early bird registration ends August 11 and provides a discounted rate of just $300 for RESO Members and $400 for Non-Members, which includes two breakfasts and two lunches at the Pendry. Conference support, including outstanding receptions and events, is provided by Platinum Sponsors Zillow and CoreLogic, and Gold Sponsor Realtor.com, with additional support from Silver Sponsor Sandicor and Bronze Sponsors Black Knight Financial Services, CRS Data, CSS, Dyna Connections, FBS, Homes.Com, RoofShoot and ShowingTime. Registration is available online at www.reso.org/fall-mtg. About RESO The mission of the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) is to create and promote the adoption of standards that drive efficiency throughout the real estate industry. RESO incorporated in November 2011, as an independent, not-for-profit trade organization that was previously a section of the National Association of REALTORS®. More than 330 real estate technology and business leaders -- a new conference attendance record for RESO, which develops, adopts and implements data standards and process for all real estate transactions -- voted to select the winners of the 2016 RESO "Show N Tell." Attendees represented the full spectrum of the real estate industry, including real estate brokerages, Multiple Listing Services (MLSs), and real estate technology providers. The 2016 RESO "Show N Tell" included brief "Ted Talk" like demonstrations of some of the newest breakthrough innovations in real estate and leveraging data to engage real estate professionals and their clients in a way that helps streamline the real estate transaction. The three winning innovations: HomeSpotter - Winner "Best in Show" Aaron Kardell, Founder and CEO provided the winning demonstration for HomeSpotter. Madison Hildebrand to Present at ENCON2016 Agent Summit
We are thrilled to announce our closing keynote speaker for the ENCON2016 Agent Summit! Madison Hildebrand —a top tier realtor, author, host, and most recognizably, the "original" star of Bravo Network's hit reality series "Million Dollar Listing""— will be the event's closing keynote speaker on September 30th in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Drawing from his own experiences and obstacles when selling the luxury Malibu lifestyle, Madison will share insider knowledge with attendees on how to appeal to luxury clients, how to find luxury clientele, and how to sell the luxury "lifestyle" not just an expensive home. Madison Hildebrand, President and Founder of The Malibu Life, Inc., is one of the world's most recognizable faces in the world of real estate. Bringing 10 years of experience and career sales of over $250 Million, Madison acts as a founding member of the Partners Trust (an Enterprise Network member) Malibu office and is recognized internationally as a top producing agent year after year. Madison incorporated The Malibu Life, Inc., enlisting a team of eight specialists who work together to make record transactions, exerting passion, professionalism, integrity, and uncanny industry knowledge. Madison's ability to connect and communicate with a wide range of clientele is guided by his passion for travel, and his experiences living in various countries, states, and cities. After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Pepperdine University, Madison decided to plant his roots in Malibu. Soon after graduating, Madison became a pillar within the community, involving himself in numerous organizations and charitable institutions. A six-year veteran to the small screen, Madison is most widely known as the original cast member of Bravo TV's hit reality show "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" and as a contributing host on E! News. Madison is also an acclaimed public speaker, author of the book Activate Your Passion, Create Your Career, and a product designer for a line of candles. His most recent accomplishments include signing on as Brand Ambassador for DocuSign, Inc. – The global standard for digital transaction management, Leverage Global Partners, which brings global exposure and networking to boutique agencies across the world, and Give Back Homes, which is a trusted network of real estate professionals dedicated to creating social change through the act of buying or selling a home. Whether it's gardening, traveling, or hiking with his rescue Doberman, Maya, Madison lives by his philosophies of "Spread the Love," that "You can mix business with pleasure," and his most important mantra of "Be a blessing, then be blessed." We are so excited to have Madison join us for #ENCON2016 and share his expertise on selling the luxury lifestyle with our audience. Madison is also up for two agent awards for Best Social Media Strategy and Best Use of Technology in the Luxury Market. Real Estate Data, Management and Tech Leaders to Meet in Chicago
Morrisville, NC – March 29, 2016 – Responsible for standardizing more than 1,000 different real estate data sources for property information across the U.S., the Real Estate Standards Organization, or RESO, is attracting some of the brightest and best minds in the real estate industry to its Spring Conference at the Hotel Monaco Chicago, April 19-21, 2016 to tackle crucial issues to help streamline technology in the real estate industry. Some 200 leaders from the real estate brokerage, Multiple Listing Services (MLSs), real estate technology providers and more will convene face-to-face to help create and advance new standards for the U.S. real estate industry, as well as showcase new innovative technology solutions that address the industry's most pressing technology problems and challenges. "We are on the dawn of a new generation of technology-driven solutions that will improve the home buying and selling experience for consumers with what is arguably the most complex transaction in most people's lives," says Jeremy Crawford, Executive Director of RESO. "Data standards may sound boring, but data standards are the missing link to making buying and selling property faster, more efficient, more intelligent and simply better for everyone involved." Crawford noted that among the tough topics the RESO Spring Conference will take on includes hearing from leading brokerages about the challenges they face with the disparate business rules that every MLS has, the variations with IDX (shared property data) and lack of consistency in data display requirements for property listings. "Identifying the business pain points that real estate brokerages wrestle with is key for their MLS to provide the tech solutions they really need," Crawford says. Top brokerage panelists leading this discussion include Rajeev Sajja, Vice President of Digital Innovation at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, REALTORS® with offices in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey; Glenn S. Phillips, CEO of Lake Home Realty of Birmingham, Alabama; John Grelyak, Director, Digital Technology of Chicago-based Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®; Tom Weiss-Lehman, the Data Production Specialist from Seattle-based Redfin; and Shaun York, Executive Director of Technology for Homes.com. Among the advance technology solutions that will be showcased at the RESO Spring Conference includes: Heather Petersen, Docusign and Executive Director for the xDTM Standard Association will discuss the xDTM Standard, "The Transaction Management Standard for an Open Digital World," and how raising the quality bar on digital transactions benefits the real estate industry. Homespotter will showcase editing MLS listings through the Homespotter Mobile app, which combines fingerprint-based security and the RESO RETS update standard. BoomTown will demonstrate its Internet Tracking, lead gen and predictive analytics technologies. MLSListings will demonstrate its Business Rule Engine, which allows users to leverage listing maintenance through multiple interfaces and ensure listing edits follow MLS business rules. Software Incubator will present Using PropMix.io platform to propel RESO maturity model: with Longitudinal Property Records™, insights as a service, and NLP. A newly added highlight of the conference is a Certification Workshop-plus Tech Bar, a place where Crawford describes conference attendees can work directly with RESO certification staff on implementation and certification of the RESO Data Dictionary and the new RESO Web API, which is mandated by NAR for adoption by June 30, 2016. "Tech Bar attendees can even run tests onsite, get immediate feedback and meet in person with many of the industry's leading MLS technology firms," Crawford says, which are scheduled to include FBS – the creators of Flexmls, Black Knight, Rapattoni and SEI, Inc. (Navica MLS). He notes that technologists will also test the latest single sign on (SSO) methods across products with the new RESO Web API, and during the event, attendees can get a free special cocktail at the "Tech Bar," which is sponsored by Software Incubator and PropMix.io. The RESO Spring Conference is expected to hit a record attendance this year for a Spring Conference with more than 200 top real estate industry executives expected to attend the April 19-21 event in Chicago. The mobile app for the RESO Spring Conference is available by downloading "Guidebook" in the App stores for Google and Apple, and searching for "RESO." Online registration information is at http://www.reso.org/spring-mtg. About RESO The mission of the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) is to create and promote the adoption of standards that drive efficiency throughout the real estate industry. Leading RE Makes it Rain Awards
A couple of weeks ago we attended the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World's (LRE) Annual Conference in Vegas. It was a remarkable lineup with a lot of valuable takeaways. LRE is made up of an incredible list of over 600 top real estate companies. Our network aligns very closely with theirs. We both work only with independent brokerages. Additionally, we restrict that to only allow one member per market. It is therefore no surprise that the majority of our members also belong to LRE. We typically host a party to celebrate with our existing members as well as potential ones who are attending the conference. This year our party was at La Cave and was a great success. Potential members had the chance to meet us and a small representation of our team, as well as discuss our platform and its benefits with our existing members. Our party is early in the week, giving ourselves the best chance for a good turnout (given this is Vegas after all and the week is like a marathon). Little did we know our network had a lot more to celebrate than we knew... LRE hosts an awards ceremony every year to close the week. They nominate four candidates per category. The Enterprise Network members won multiple awards in many categories respectively. We would like to take a moment to mention those that revolve around technology. In this case, they literally swept the award ceremony. Here are some of the notable victories: Most Innovative Brokerage Award Winner: Kentwood Real Estate - Greenwood Village, CO Best Interactivity Award Winner: Clark Realty Corporation - Kailua Kona, HI Best Mobile Site Award Winner: Baird and Warner - Chicago, IL Nominee: Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate - Rye Brook, NY Best Property Search Award Winner: Lyon Real Estate - Sacramento, CA Nominee: Wright Kingdom Real Estate - Boulder, CO Best Visual Design Award Winner: Heritage Texas Properties - Houston, TX Nominee: John R. Wood Properties - Naples, FL Here is the most amazing part... When it came to the Best Overall Website Award, our network took all the nominations: Clark Realty Corporation - Kailua Kona, HI John R. Wood Properties - Naples, FL Lyon Real Estate - Sacramento, CA ...with the winner announced as Wright Kingdom Real Estate (WKRE) from Boulder in our home state of Colorado. WKRE is one of our first members; they believed in us before we could really call ourselves a network. We have both come a long way since then and we are ecstatic for their team who put a lot of effort into their site's redesign. Enormous THANK YOUs to all our members for believing in us and for being part of this great network. Every single nomination and win of each brokerage is also a collective win for the network itself. We would also like to thank LRE for validating all our hard work. What a great organization they are! All our love goes to every single boojer who without all the talent oozing from your fast typing fingers, without all the late nights, weekends and devotion to our members, there would be far less remarkable sites out there. This is a win for all of us. What a great start to 2015! To view the original post, visit the Enterprise Network blog.

Realtor® Broker Summits to Concentrate on Management and Technology in 2015
WASHINGTON, Feb. 12, 2015 -- As small business owners, real estate brokers must stay ahead of cutting-edge marketing and management practices. That is why the National Association of Realtors® is inviting brokers from across the country to attend 2015 Realtor® Broker Summit events and learn from broker panels and industry leaders about the latest tools and trends affecting the industry and Realtor®'s businesses. The events will include panels and presentations covering topics such as agent acquisition and retention, growth strategies, risk management, and legislative and legal updates. This upcoming event follows the very successful RealTech 2013 event that Reesio put together in San Francisco in April of last year. That event drew over 350 brokers and agents, and this event is expected to be double in size. In addition to over 700 brokers and agents expected to be in attendance, RealTech 2014 is expected to draw 30+ startups into its Startup Alley, plus an exhibition hall full of other sponsors. According to Mark Thomas, Co-Founder & CEO of Reesio, last year's event had a waiting list for both the Startup Alley and Exhibitor Hall sponsorship opportunities, "We're opening up RealTech 2014 to more Startup Alley companies and Exhibit Hall sponsors because of the overwhelming demand from last year. We're excited that we'll be able to accommodate more sponsors this time around." 1parkplace CEO and Congressman Duncan Hunter to Lead Real Estate and Housing Symposium
San Diego, CA – The Real Estate and Housing Symposium scheduled at the Marriott Marina on April 21, 2011 kicks off a national campaign to “Bring Back Our U.S. Housing Market.” The goal of this FREE public symposium is to initiate a citizen led forum focusing on a “Blueprint for Housing Reform,” to assist our Congress on reforms that could help revitalize the real estate and housing industry.   The event is being led by Steve Hundley, CEO of 1parkplace, Inc., (www.1parkplace.com) a national real estate marketing firm based in San Diego.  Hundley has made it his personal mission to educate every citizen in America on what they can do to restore our housing market.   “Correcting our housing market means more money for communities, higher property values, increased jobs created and improved consumer confidence,” said Hundley.   Hundley has enlisted the support of honorary co-chairperson, Congressman Duncan Hunter. “The idea of presenting strategies from leaders in our real estate industry to our elected officials in every level of government to advocate meaningful reform is an important step, and I’m proud to be a part of it,” said Hunter.  “The participants at this symposium are industry professionals who are in the trenches everyday with their clients.”   The “Blueprint for Housing Reform” will address three key areas of recovery:   1. Now issues – reforms that will address the urgency of solving our short sale, mortgage modification and REO process in order to remove as much inventory off the market as quickly as possible. 2. Tomorrow issues – addressing the landslide of regulations that are destined to decimate our real estate and housing industry.  Much of the new legislation concentrates on restricting lending to the point of putting a choke hold on recovery. 3. Restoring confidence in America and our housing market – A robust real estate and housing market creates millions of jobs.  We need to do everything possible to restore confidence in every neighborhood.   Hundley has sought the advice and ideas of many experts in our industry in preparation and will be gaining insight on these relevant issues.  “There are a lot of great ideas out there, we just need to streamline them and make them simple for people to understand how the issues impact them,” says Hundley.   In conversation with NAR president Ron Phipps last week, he said “NAR needs the most help in reaching the “average agent and the consumer”. “I translate the average agent to be the one who does a great job listing and selling homes but tunes out of politics and governmental issues.  However, they are the most strategic gateway for reaching consumers since they are very connected with their community.” Hundley adds.   1parkplace expert advisors include: Allan Dalton – one of the National Association of Realtors' 25 most influential people and former CEO of REALTOR.com David Cabot – Executive Vice President of Prudential California Realty, Berkshire Hathaway's, Home Services division's largest U.S. real estate operation. Rick Hoffman – President and COO of Coldwell Banker, San Diego and Inland Empire, owned by Realogy, Inc, America's largest real estate brokerage operation. Gregg Neuman – CEO of the Neuman and Neuman Real Estate Team – one of San Diego's most active and experienced real estate professionals. Marla Shepard – President and CEO of California Coast Credit Union and Chairperson of the California Credit Union League governmental affairs committee Ruben Bareles – President of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Victor Lund – co-Founder of the WavGroup – the industry's leading research firm Rick Snyder – Former president of the San Diego Association of REALTORS and a member of SDAR's Hall of Fame for his long time governmental affairs advocacy. Bonnie Dumanis – The San Diego County District Attorney along with her assistant DA in the area of white collar crime and real estate fraud. More experts are being added to our roster as we prepare for the symposium.   “Ultimately,” said Hundley, “we hope to create momentum that educates communities via Real Estate Town Halls across America – where we can reach and teach REALTORS and Americans in every neighborhood on what they can do to bring back our housing market.    Take our online poll now or RSVP to attend at www.BringBackOurHousing.org.  The event is FREE to the public.  Space is limited. ### ABOUT 1parkplace Headquartered in San Diego California, 1parkplace was established in 1994 by Steve Hundley, a real estate agent from California's Silicon Valley.  As founder and CEO Hundley leveraged his previous 10-year career, starting back in 1984, to develop and deploy the comprehensive real estate marketing and contact management solutions 1parkplace offers today.
