Onboard Informatics Announces New Version of Neighborhood Boundaries

September 26 2014

New York, NY, September 26, 2014 -- Onboard Informatics, the largest and most trusted Local Data as a Service provider, announced the launch of the next generation of Neighborhood Boundaries. The new version increases the total number of neighborhood boundaries, updates all neighborhood information, and improves usability for application developers.

"Updating our Neighborhood Boundaries ensures that Onboard continues to have the most current and relevant local data in the real estate market", said Scott Petronis, Onboard's Chief Product Officer. "We're also excited about the improvements we've made based on client feedback. As a technology company, we are constantly striving to make it easier for developers to incorporate the local data that ultimately drives revenue."

The data in this latest release includes hundreds of new geographic boundaries, a variety of new or improved attributes, and new detailed relationship information. It's now easier for developers to determine the most relevant boundaries in each metro area, to understand the relationships between boundaries—do they overlap, are they next to each other, etc.—and to display neighborhood boundaries on any map.

"We know that neighborhoods are hugely important for people looking to buy a home," said Marc Siden, Onboard CEO. "It is our job to make sure our clients have easy access to the best information out there. This release is another step in us providing the best and most robust local data from a single source."

The release introduces some dramatic changes not only to neighborhoods but also a variety of the underlying attributes including demographic information, home sales, school profiles and points of interest, as well as the relationships between neighborhoods and all other geographic boundaries Onboard provides.

"We first released our Neighborhood Boundaries product in 2010. These improvements ensure that Onboard continues to have the most up-to-date local data in real estate," said Jonathan Bednarsh, Onboard President and COO. "That's what our clients demand and what real estate consumers now expect."

Onboard Informatics plans to continue advancements to their data delivery in the coming months.
