March 17, 2010 – VideosByAddress.com unveiled its revamped website that allows users to upload and automatically submit their real estate videos to MLS websites, including all major real estate search engines such as Redfin.com and Trulia.com.
VideosByAddress.com’s new site provides much more than just property listing videos.
“Our website is designed to serve as the hub for the real estate video community,” says Ray Hwang, the founder of VideosByAddress.com.
To promote properties, VideosByAddress.com will automatically create comprehensive virtual tour pages that include the property’s videos, photos, and Walk-score maps showing nearby restaurants, shops, and public transportation. These pages will then be linked to all major MLS websites such as Redfin.com. Viewers visiting VideosByAddress.com’s virtual tour page can provide ratings and submit comments. Realtors can also submit information about themselves and their services in the “My Profile” section so that visitors can learn about the realtor and contact him or her regarding a specific property, or for other properties.
Other real estate professionals, such as videographers, can create accounts, submit videos, and provide information to be hired by other Realtors. Real estate professionals can also upload other real estate related videos, including real estate news, projects, and marketing videos, such as customer testimonials.
Firms that are interested in joining the video revolution can partner with VideosByAddress. Brokerages can have a dedicated page that consolidates all its agents’ listings and videos. Even existing virtual tour vendors can get in on the act by partnering with VideosByAddress for their video needs. With so many virtual tour companies in operation, many Realtors have developed relationships with certain virtual tour vendors. Ray Hwang states: “We don’t want to compete with these vendors, but rather partner with them so that these virtual tour companies can offer video services as well.”
Videos are expected to be the next big wave for the real estate industry. The National Association of Realtors reports that “80% of sellers are more likely to choose an agent who offers videos.” With videos, the prospective homebuyers learn much more about the property than with photographs. Viewers can understand the flow of the house from one room to another and learn the intricate details about the house and the neighborhood that photos just can’t provide.
