New Developer Platform from Onboard Informatics Makes Accessing Valuable Content Easier
We like our clients. They take the data we aggregate and build some of the most dynamic and engaging tools in their industries. So when our clients speak, we listen. Last year, our clients started asking for an easier way to get the valuable content we offer. The Onboard Developer Platform is a direct reaction to that feedback. We’ve been beta testing our platform the last six months. In that time, we’ve had over 150 people sign up and provide insight. We now feel we’re in a position to invite a larger audience to experience the platform. This platform offers centralized access to a world of local data – property records, taxes and assessments, deeds, sales trends, boundaries, points of interest and more – to power the websites, mobile apps, and back office systems that keep our clients competitive. Eventually, all the data you can now find at Onboard will be available here, including community information, school, trends, and more. Before we developed the platform, accessing this critical data our clients use to engage and attract consumers required an involved security system. The developer platform is a simpler, faster, and more modern system of delivery while still keeping our client’s security interests at the forefront. We invite you and your teams to check out the Developer Platform. There are a lot of exciting things you can do with this data: Create compelling online content that engages consumers. Examples of companies using local data to engage their online visitors. 148 Million New Ways to Get More for Your Business
Onboard Informatics now has one of the largest arsenals of U.S. public records databases at our disposal. Now you can easily access property sales estimates, transactions, and records from a single API. This is exciting stuff, mainly because it means you can now compete with national brands (and their big budgets) for things like SEO, market share, and online lead conversions. Thanks to our relationship with CoreLogic, Onboard has a wealth of property information available and we've been pretty busy putting our own spin on it. We're in the process of rolling out our Beta release so I'd like to give a little insight into what you can expect over the next month or so. First off, our new Property Search Engine API, contains over 150 million property records, assessments, and property tax figures. This is in addition to the 94+ million AVM (automated valuation model) values and 97+ million historical home sales that we've been working with for years. This data covers 3,128 of the 3,143 counties in the US (99.5% for those that don't want to do the math). On top of that we've stitched all of this data together and related it to all other Onboard content through various geographic relationships. But the data is only part of the story. The bigger news is that all of this data is now available via a REST API that allows for precise search and fast access in ways never before possible. Want to know all of the properties with taxes between $7,000 and $8,000 in a specific school attendance zone? Or the current estimated home values in a particular neighborhood? Or all of the single family properties that have sold over the past six months in a specific school district? You can do all of this and more with the new search engine. Next month we'll be releasing brief demos and quick "how to" guides on using this new API to your advantage. This property information has the potential to make a big difference to your business in 2015 and beyond. If you're building a plan for upcoming initiatives, this API should be part of your tool box. Boost your rankings in organic search with property landing pages (September 1) Property landing pages are an effective strategy in boosting your ranking in online search engines. Due to the unique and updated content, keyword strategy support and interlinking data, these pages significantly increase your online footprint. Access to this public record data makes creating these pages easier than ever. September 1, we'll show you how. Create effective lead capture and conversion tools through this API (September 14) Property value estimates are a great way to capture leads on your site, and are a part of this API. It attracts potential consumers interested in learning how much a specific property (often their property) is worth on the open market. These tools provide estimates to the property's value, often in exchange for their contact information (i.e. name, e-mail, etc.). Once you've captured that lead, you can utilize this API to communicate changes to the property as they arise. Whether it's the estimated value, latest nearby sales, a change in taxes or school zoning, you can create a drip marketing campaign that keeps your brand top of mind. Learn how this tool will enable you to capture and nurture more leads from your site on September 14. Compete with national brands in online experience and engagement (September 28) Create an experience that feels custom, relevant, and effortless for your visitors so they spend more time on your site. If a visitor finds value in your site – they find what they're looking for, they get answers to their questions, they are able to easily navigate from one area to another – they are statistically more likely to become a customer. Tapping into this API feeds in valuable, searchable, and relatable content into your site which creates these types of experiences and ultimately, drives revenue to your business. Learn how on September 28. We are thrilled to be able to round out the robust set of property information now available at Onboard with property records. But what makes this even more exciting is how it can benefit your business. We look forward to exploring what this new solution can do for you in the coming weeks. If you'd like to fast track the conversation, a technology expert would be happy to discuss. Contact us today. To view the original article, visit the Onboard Informatics blog.

Do You Know About Onboard's Neighborhood Suite?
Onboard Informatics has been licensing local content to the real estate community for over twelve years now. During that time, we have noticed that there are a handful of datasets that the majority of our clients consider to be essential when illustrating neighborhoods on their websites and mobile apps. This was the impetus behind our Neighborhood Suite. The package includes five data sets: Community data, School data, Points of Interest, Market Trends, and Neighborhood Boundaries. Below are just a few client implementations to exemplify the potential of our Neighborhood Suite: M Squared M Squared Realty, a brokerage in Washington, DC uses the Community, Points of Interest and Neighborhood data sets in this example. They have plotted the neighborhood boundary on a map, included the area demographics below it, and on a second tab, have denoted the points of interest that fall within that neighborhood. The idea is to not only generate SEO and keep users engaged, but also to enhance the look and feel of the website. Century 21 Century 21 is a national franchisor. In this example, they have chosen to associate demographics and school information with each of their listings. When you pull up a listing page, you'll notice that below it they have detailed information on weather, population, schools and more. These are pulled from our Community and School data sets. They also license Great Schools content from Onboard to supplement their school data with ratings and parent reviews.   RealEstate.com RealEstate.com is a national portal. They utilize all of the content in the neighborhood suite as well as a few other packages from Onboard. If you take a look at their site, you'll notice they have created unique landing pages for zip codes across the US. Each landing page has charts, graphs, and statistics that lay out information pulled from our Community, Schools, Points of Interest, Market Trends and Neighborhood boundaries. Protection One Protection One is one of the largest home security companies in the US. They came to Onboard looking for content for their SEO strategy. They decided to build out landing pages for every zip code, neighborhood, city, town, and place in the country. Using Onboard's Community and Neighborhood information allowed them to do this faster and with more ease. It also enabled them to pull details like weather, crime, and air quality, all of which are already geo coded for each location. These implementations show a variety of use cases for local content ranging from an independent brokerage, a national portal, a national franchise and a national security company. There is no limit to the way local content can be digested and displayed. New use cases and implementation ideas come out every day which is what makes the Neighborhood Suite so exciting. The Neighborhood Suite can boost SEO, increase site engagement, help with lead conversion and much more. Give us a call to explore new ways this package could help your company innovate. Did You Know? Onboard has Local Content for Canada!
Onboard has been providing local content and solutions to the real estate industry for the past 12 years. As we head into year 13, there are many new innovations we are excited to share. One of them is our recent expansion into the Canadian marketplace. For years, obtaining information about the area surrounding a property in Canada has been almost impossible. In the US, companies like Zillow and Trulia revolutionized the real estate industry by making neighborhood information readily available to the consumer. Their goal was to bring more transparency to the industry. Up to this point, not many in Canada have followed suit, mainly because the information is hard to collect, especially in a usable format. Onboard has worked with many of the most successful brokerages, portals, media outlets and technology companies across the US. Expanding our offerings to include Canada has been discussed internally for years and the time has now come. The Canadian marketplace is ready, willing and able to increase levels of transparency. In order to help companies in Canada provide their customers with deeper area knowledge, Onboard has compiled the following new data sets: Community Demographics - Over 10,000 points of data available at various geography levels including: Neighbourhood, Census Subdivision and others Schools - 99% of public schools and 95% of private schools covered Points of Interest – Millions of locations including: restaurants, bars, theatres, banks, etc. Boundaries - Neighborhood, FSA, Census Subdivision, Market Area, etc. There are many ways to utilize the data including for SEO boosts, lead generation, search capabilities with mapping functions and more. Take a look at Remax Canada's implementation of Onboard's content below. They also allow users to search via neighbourhood on their website. Remax.ca has been a trail blazer, recognizing early, the possibilities of adding in-depth local content to their site and applications. The bottom line is that there is demand for local content data in Canada. Consumers want to know more about an area before they make a decision. This demand is only growing and will eventually become ubiquitous in the Canadian marketplace. Reach out to us to learn more about the different ways Onboard can help. Lifestyle search, provided by Onboard Informatics, helps consumers locate their ideal communities and properties based on type of neighborhood, and proximity to entertainment/dining, the arts, shops/services, transportation, and schools. In coming months, census data will be added to all community information on the newly redesigned site, as well as point of interest data to all maps, using Onboard data as well. Expanded property detail pages now include school ratings, community information, real-time market statistics, property history, area amenities, and social media sharing tools. Community overviews feature local market statistics, unique photos, custom descriptions, and local area demographics. The Active Enterprise Network Joins with Onboard Informatics for Lifestyle Search
Denver, CO – The Active Enterprise Network has just announced their extended partnership with Onboard Informatics to include the necessary data needed for lifestyle search, an innovative home search tool that gives customers a personalized search experience on real estate websites. Through this new lifestyle search engine, customers will be able to search for homes based on parameters most important to them. Whether that's family-friendly areas or homes close to highly rated schools, nightlife or shopping, the system will match each user's requirements with a targeted list of ideal communities in their area. In 2010, The Active Enterprise Network partnered with Onboard Informatics to provide rich, hyper local community data on Enterprise sites. The information provided through this partnership includes basic school and community data, Great School ratings and reviews, Point of Interest data and AVM and property trending information. Taking this partnership to the next level to include lifestyle search will further enrich the user experience and give Network members another edge over the competition. "There is a lot of competition on the Web, so finding new ways to differentiate yourself from the competition is crucial to the success of your business. Through lifestyle search, not only are members providing a service that the competition doesn't offer, but they're able to engage the customer and increase the likelihood that they will buy or sell a home from them in the future. The unique approach and added convenience this functionality brings increases the usability of Enterprise sites and creates a positive experience for our users. We're excited about this new endeavor and feel this partnership will bring nothing but opportunity for those in our network," states Ido Zucker, Managing Partner at Active Website. The search parameters within the lifestyle search engine are based on over a decade of Onboard's experience developing Best Places to Live solutions for top publishers such as CNN/Money, U.S. News & World Report and BusinessWeek. To ensure accuracy of the search results, the search engine combines millions of data points ranging from population demographics to housing trends to local points of interest and more. Due to the complex functionality required to power lifestyle search accurately and efficiently, it is reserved for elite companies only. Through Active Website's technology, coupled with data provided by Onboard, members are able to engage customers more than ever before. "It is Onboard's goal to provide compelling content and powerful tools that allow home buyers to search for homes based on what is important in their lives – beyond the physical needs of the home. Lifestyle search not only accomplishes that, but also engages the visitor and keeps them coming back to the site, providing the differentiation that The Active Enterprise Network is seeking," states Marc Siden, CEO, Onboard Informatics. "We are pleased to work with a network that understands the importance of providing consumers with tools and information they want." Remaining on the cutting edge of innovation, many members have already chosen to participate in The Enterprise Network Challenge: 10 Lifestyle Searches in 10 Weeks in which Active Website launches lifestyle search on a different member's site each week. Be sure to check out Active Website's blog over the next several weeks as they track the progress of these releases. About The Active Enterprise Network The Active Enterprise Network member base is by invitation only. Comprised solely of private real estate firms, The Enterprise Network does not accept national brands and only works with one company per marketplace.
