Three Easy Tips to Create Value Using Facebook Groups

May 09 2018

facebook thumbsFacebook is a valuable real estate marketing tool. One way to leverage the power of Facebook is by utilizing Facebook groups. While you might use a Facebook business page to run ads or promote your business, you can build a community of people that share a common interest using Facebook groups.

If you are looking to create value and build closer relationships with the community you serve, consider starting a Facebook group. Here are three easy ideas to get you started.

1. Create credibility by starting a group for a neighborhood you market.

Creating a neighborhood Facebook group will allow you to position yourself as the area expert. Bring value and information to your group by sharing inside tips about what makes the area unique. Partner with local neighborhood eateries or businesses and create an area meet and greet, or host a neighborhood clean up day.

2. Create a group that targets a niche you serve.

Target a specific group like investors or first-time buyers using Facebook groups. Create value by providing members with information they crave. Investors might be looking for detailed market statistics, or to make connections with contractors. First-time buyers want information about the home buying process. Create value by creating a Q&A video to answer those burning questions of the niche you serve.

3. Create group that highlights local real estate "behind the scenes."

From eccentric homes to chasing a seller's cat down the street, much of what agents do from day to day is not as glamorous as we wish it was. Create group that highlights what consumers do not see or experience everyday.

Regardless of the type of group you create, make sure to post consistently and make sure you create value for your members. Over time, you will build trust and will build a community of followers that have the potential to become lifelong customers.
