Syncing Your Business Contacts with LinkedIn Contacts

A professional social network and a CRM?! Check out all that you can do when you sync your emails accounts, address books and calendars to your LinkedIn Contacts.

Today I wanted to talk about keeping your contacts organized in one place using LinkedIn Contacts. With LinkedIn, you can take your connections and sync them to your email accounts, address books, and even calendars to keep your relationships organized.

Once you do this, you'll be able to go into a LinkedIn connection's profile and see your last email communications and scheduled meetings, you'll be able to set reminders, as well as enter in notes right on their profile that only you will be able to see. Maybe you want to remind yourself to follow up with this person in a few weeks, or write notes about your last conversation. You'll also be able to easily add that contact to certain tags you've created within LinkedIn, such as colleagues, friends, clients, etc.

So, basically LinkedIn can be a professional social network and a CRM for your business. If you haven't set it up already go to your LinkedIn Contacts page and begin the syncing process, they'll walk you right through the steps.

From there you'll be able to see which contacts you haven't touched base with lately, see upcoming client birthdays, and begin going through and filling in notes for each of your business connections. Once you're synced, download the LinkedIn Contacts app so you'll be able to do all of this from your phone on the go.
