RatedAgent.com's New Redesign Targets Consumers and Mobile Users

August 14 2014

Agent ratings website RatedAgent.com unveiled a new look this week. The site's overhaul features consumer-focused copy and a mobile-responsive design. The company has also updated their search functionality to make it easier for prospective home buyers and sellers to find a real estate agent in their area.

RatedAgent.com is one of several agent ratings services on the market today. The site distinguishes itself by offering consumers impartial reviews from verified clients of real estate agents. Agents are unable to edit or delete reviews, giving home buyers and sellers an accurate depiction of an agent's quality of service.

"The publication options of agent service performance do not allow for agent manipulation or selectivity of results. Consumers and agents are protected from fake, mischievous or misleading reviews," says Kevin Romito, President and COO of the site's parent company, QSC. "Companies can better manage service with metrics and real time reporting technology that cannot be done with other rating and review platforms--a real win-win-win scenario for consumers, companies and real estate professionals."

Like any site that relies on user-generated content, mass adoption is critical to its value. RatedAgent.com's new consumer-centric and mobile-friendly design is an attempt to drive interest from home buyers and sellers. Agents who participate in the program can help boost that interest by sharing a link to their profile on social media. The redesign makes this easy with built-in social sharing buttons.

While the redesign seeks to improve user experience, a recent survey by the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors already gives the website top marks for their service. The survey rated 10 of the top agent ratings sites according to 10 different criteria. PAR identified Rated Agent's greatest strengths as the "process by which it collects agent reviews. Only verifiable buyers or sellers who have worked with the agent can post reviews."
