Behind the Secret Walls of Luxury Real Estate

February 10 2011

gated homeThere is an exclusive group of luxury real estate agents that have been working together for some time, also know as the Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate. They are an international membership organization comprised of 1,000 brokerages and 75,000 sales associates in 69 countries.

The average sales price of a property by this group is $2,250,000 and they sold more than $200 billion in properties last year. Trust me when I say that it is a privilege to be invited to join this group. Their website has more traffic viewing luxury listings than any other site on the planet – and they refer piles of business to each other – worldwide.

I had a chance to work with John Brian Losh, Meghan Barry and their tech genius, Michael Edlund, a few years ago. We even attended their conferences in Las Vegas, Paris, and went on their annual ski trip (Chamonix - Mount Blanc).

This week, they announced that the Luxury Lounge – a private social network for their members, is going to get a little more public. They have redesigned the agent pages on the site and are previewing them to the members now; in advance of pushing them live. Most importantly, the private blogs that are enjoyed member-to-member are being made public! Well, sort of. Agents can choose to display posts publically or privately. The private posts are only shared with other members and they are called Discussions.

Buying property outside of America can get pretty sketchy – but through the Luxury Real Estate Network you can refer your clients to trusted, proven real estate professionals. Check out the site.

If you think that you qualify as a Luxury Estate Agent, contact Meghan Barry for consideration to their group.

***Important Note: Don't join for the logo. If you don't attend their conferences, market your listings on their site, run properties in their magazine, and network with fellow professionals from around the world - you will not get the benefit. That would be like joining a country club and never going.
