Google Eliminates Real Estate

The real estate industry is ever changing.  For better or for worse Google just made a big annoucement that could make a difference to real estate professionals.  Tech Savvy Agent reports below:

This just in. Google has announced that they will be removing all listings from their Google Maps platform on February 10th of this year! We have written in the past about gaining exposure via Google Maps and also about the fact that they include foreclosure data in their system.

 

 

Below is an example of how the listings currently appear using 90210 as the example zip code.

The move by Google to remove real estate listings raises several questions for me:

1. Does this matter at all?

2. Have you ever gotten a lead via Google Maps?

3. Are they simply pulling the data out of the Google Maps to add it to a more robust platform in the future?
