The New Google Maps are good, really good...

It's different in many respects, most visibly in that the map fills the entire screen. The map seems to have more a bit detail, noticeable too when zoomed out, plus the colors have changed.

You used to be offered local business choices on the left sidebar, now they are embedded in the search bar and the map itself, along with photos and street views.

This is an important point for real estate agents as the source of the listings featured are Google Places for Business. If you have not created your page yet, you had better get started!

Maps are now utilizing Google's new card focused design now seen in Plus. Searching for a particular address brings up a card with the option to save it and get directions and another card with Street View and some options to search around the location.

Gone altogether is the satellite view and the 45-degree option, to be replaced entirely by Google Earth, which is sorta fine except the ocean floor shouldn't show up like this (it's actually an underwater canyon) – and the trees leave a lot to be desired!
