handshake skyOur friends at IXACT Contact recently shared an interesting infographic with us. Based on NAR's 2011 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, the infographic highlights how consumers find their real estate agents, and emphasizes the importance of referrals.

Some of the facts are surprising, though. The majority of buyers and sellers, for example, hire the very first REALTOR® they contact. While willing to shop around for the right home, consumers are unwilling to shop around for real estate agents. Perhaps this is why so many either rely on referrals to find an agent, or simply use the same real estate professional they've worked with in the past.

These findings really underline the importance of keeping in touch with former clients. You can accomplish this with contact management software or drip marketing campaigns.
