6 Ways to Improve your Real Estate Email Marketing

January 15 2020

ixact ways to improve email marketingIf you're not seeing results with your real estate email marketing, it's time to ask yourself a question. When is the last time you updated your email marketing strategy?

To keep your audience interested in your messages, and engaged with your brand, it could be time to shake things up! To help you, we're sharing email marketing tips from Trish Barry of Mastermind Consulting, along with our own suggestions!

1. Sharpen up your subject lines.

Subject lines that are too long and too generic are easily ignored. Think about your own email inbox for a moment; you tend to open messages that are important, intriguing, and informative. Dull sales pitches get deleted!

2. Use a robust CRM for real estate.

Consistency is key in real estate email marketing! To accomplish it, you need a dynamic CRM for real estate that simplifies your lead management and email marketing.

3. Segment your campaigns.

It may seem easier to send the same message to all of your contacts, but this can result in poor conversion. Organize your contacts into specific audience groups, such as past clients, prospective buyers, prospective sellers, hot leads, and FSBOs. When your database is well-organized, you can tailor your real estate email marketing drip campaigns to speak to each target audience.

4. Provide quality content.

Plan your content for each audience in advance. Offer useful information on a variety of topics. A monthly e-Newsletter is a great way to share relevant information with your contacts. Your email messages should be meaningful and concise, and include calls-to-action.

5. Grow your contact lists.

A lead capture form on your website is a must. When you receive a phone inquiry from a prospect, be sure to ask for their email address so that you can add them to your email marketing campaigns. Collect email addresses during open house events. Be sure to collect business cards during face-to-face networking and social gatherings. Treat all emails like cash; put them in a safe place, and be sure to "bank" them in your contact management system!

6. Review the results of your real estate email marketing campaigns.

A CRM like IXACT Contact includes email campaign statistics such as open rate, click-through rate, and bounce rate, giving you valuable insights about the effective reach of your campaign. The reporting also shows who is opening your emails, clicking on links, and forwarding your emails!
