But does your community know you as the go-to real estate agent? With the level of knowledge you have, they certainly should. Luckily, we've outlined five simple ways for you to make that happen.

1. Share News and Information

One of the easiest ways to become the go-to real estate agent in your community is to become a valuable resource. Sharing exciting news or valuable tips and advice not only demonstrate your expertise, but keep people coming back to you. A great way to start doing this is with a monthly e-newsletter sent out to all your contacts.

2. Give Back

Your community provides you with your livelihood, so it is important to give back to it once in a while. This could mean volunteering your time at a local charity, or holding a client appreciation event. However you choose to give back, invite your community to participate with you. You can send a mass email to your database from your CRM or drip marketing program. Not only will this demonstrate how invested you are in your community, but it will provide you the opportunity to get to know your contacts better by interacting with them outside of the home buying or selling process.

3. Learn Their Goals

Understanding the goals of your contacts is critical to becoming their go-to agent. Whenever you have a conversation with them, take detailed notes on the things they mention and add them to your CRM. Then the next time you speak to that contact, you can easily pull up all relevant information and ask specific questions. You'll build a stronger relationship and have a much better idea of what each contact might be looking for – today or down the road.

On top of that, most homeowners have goals for their homes. By paying careful attention and reaching out regularly, you learn what these are. One of the absolute simplest ways to become the go-to real estate agent for all of your contacts is to recognize their special days. It's a small touch that goes so far in building your relationships and establishing you as someone who cares and can be trusted. Set up automated birthday and move-in anniversary reminders for each and every one of your contacts.

5. Be Reliable

Being reliable may seem like common sense, but it is truly the linchpin in becoming the go-to agent for your community. Your contacts need to know they can always count on you if they are going to not only come back, but refer others to you. You need to respond in a timely manner, keep in touch regularly, and never let a detail fall through the cracks. The easiest way to do all of that? Use a great real estate CRM.
