The Secret Broker CRM You Haven't Heard Of (Yet)

November 30 2017

There are certain real estate tools that we subconsciously tend to associate only with one segment of our industry—a back office app that's aimed at small brokers, for example, or a vendor that provides websites primarily to agents. So it's a pleasant surprise when we discover that a solution that we thought was only for one group can also serve another.

Today, we're looking at one such tool. IXACT Contact, a CRM highlighted in our 2017-18 Technology Guide, has historically been an agent-only solution. For years, the company's customers were real estate agents whose brokers either didn't provide a CRM, or didn't offer a CRM that the agent wanted to use.

That's all changed, however. IXACT Contact now offers a brokerage version of their CRM that includes features like:

  • Single sign-on integration with your company's agent portal
  • Customization and branding of all system-provided content
  • Customizable templates and agent checklists
  • Two pricing plans: Volume-based discounted pricing based on active agents, or a flat 'site license'

The company's broker version is growing, too. This summer, IXACT Contact rolled out new options that let broker brand the system's built-in email newsletters with their logo and colors, and customize the content before it's made available to agents for distribution. In addition, brokers can now create webpages and syndicate them to all of their agents' sites (since 2015, IXACT has provided agent websites in addition to its main product, the CRM).

A CRM for Recruiting
The updates above aren't the only thing IXACT Contact launched this summer. At Inman Connect in San Francisco, the company unveiled IXACT Recruiter, a CRM dedicated to helping brokers nurture potential agent recruits.

IXACT Recruiter offers detailed contact profiles of agents, automated monthly newsletters, drip email campaigns for recruiting, and detailed campaign reporting so that you can easily see which agents are engaged and reach out accordingly. There's even a special version of this CRM for recruiting agent teams.

IXACT plans to build out its recruiting tool suite, with easy-to-deploy recruitment websites expected within the next few months. These websites will integrate with IXACT Recruiter, simplifying the process of attracting potential recruits, capturing their contact information, and adding them to your database.
Painless Onboarding
Once you've recruited an agent, or have hired a rookie, the onboarding process is crucial to retaining them. IXACT Contact offers a Concierge service that sets your new agent up on the CRM within hours. At no cost, IXACT will import the agent's contact database, set up their monthly email newsletter, activate their agent website, and more. The company says their goal is to do everything an agent needs to get them up and running. This increases CRM adoption, and helps ensure recruit satisfaction.

Bringing on rookie agents? IXACT Contact's special rookie program lets them try the entire system at no cost to you for six months. You can use that time to train them on CRM best practices, help them build their database, and ease them into the industry.
