So They Guaranteed First Page Results, Eh?

April 26 2016

lwolf seo first page results

Over the past couple of years, the term SEO has become quite popular. SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimization, is essential to reach your target audience on search networks. Why consider SEO, you ask? Because it's a platform which guarantees control and results. Sounds great! Right? Hold on to that thought.

SEO is rampant right now; as a result, we see many self-proclaimed "SEO gurus." And it's common to read the following phrases on their website:

  • We Guarantee #1 ranking on Google
  • We're a Google PARTNER
  • We offer FREE SEO trials for a week
  • Lowest price in the market for SEO
  • We are experts in GOOGLE ALGORITHMS

Sound familiar?

When you are taking up a role as a content curator or marketer for your web page, SEO becomes extremely important to you. These phrases catch your eye and, before you know it, you sign a contract. But what can these "gurus" really do for you? I don't know what they can do. But they definitely cannot guarantee #1 ranking on Google. Here is an article from Google, which clearly states that no one can guarantee #1 ranking.

Confused? Well to be honest, so was I. But here is a list of things what we need to understand about SEO before we sign on any dotted line.

Nothing But Quality Keywords Can Help

This is absolutely true. You need to search for quality keywords and integrate them into your content to promote better search ranking.

SEO Requires Time

SEO is very tedious and time consuming. It requires days of work to achieve great results and cannot be done in a couple of hours. So the "gurus" can't magically boost your ranking!

Start a Blog

We have spoken about the importance of blog time and again! Blogging is a great tool to give great content to your customer and also a great platform to integrate some of your keywords. This helps to organically improve your website ranking.

Page Load Times

It's important to have a good response rate on your website. Your site needs to load fast! Google monitors website performance too.

I could go on and on about how to improve your SEO, but it's important to remember that SEO is not a short-term task; it's an ongoing and continuous process. SEO involves a combination of different methods and approaches that will evolve year after year, so be sure to stay up to date on the latest techniques.
