lwolf hire Personality

Every broker dreams of owning a successful real estate brokerage. As the business grows, it's important to hire additional staff. To make any business a success, it's important to hire the right kind of people. But the next question that arises is, what is the 'right kind'?

Human resource departments from companies around the world are using a personality test to determine the BEST fitting employee for a job posting. The National Association of Realtors (NAR) in an article stated how a broker can use DiSC for identifying personality types that best fit within the brokerage.

Not everyone is cut out for a job at a brokerage. Even people who have the right skills may not possess the personality to do great. Brokers generally seek people with great social skills, an aptitude in finance and great judgement in the people they hire.

What if you knew before hiring which agent would be a success and bring in the highest sales? Wouldn't that be great? That is precisely why brokerages are using personality tests like DiSC profile to know who to hire.

Here Is The Four Trait Profile:

DiSC profiling breaks down personalities into four traits: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. Taking this test will determine which traits are predominant in the test taker. Here is what each trait means:

  • 'D' scorers are said to be driven, fast-moving and results-oriented.
  • 'I' scorers are more likely to be personable, persuasive and not into details.
  • 'S' scorers tend to be patient, predictable and slow to change.
  • 'C' scorers are cautious, detail-oriented and thrive on structure.

DiSC is specifically designed to help companies hire business professionals. This helps employers get a better understanding of their prospective employees to foster teamwork, increase communication and productivity. DiSC is typically 20 minutes long and the results are auto-generated.

It is always desirable for a broker to hire agents with strong multiple traits to make their brokerage a booming success. A person who scores high for Dominance and Influence will be a great selling agent, he or she will be able to close deals faster and effectively. Here is a list where you can find which personality type agent will best suit your brokerage.

There are other personality tests readily available which help brokers determine what traits are desirable in their office staff as well. They can hire people with traits like problem solving, self-motivation and honesty as administrators. Financial acumen and honesty for accountants. Attention to detail and technologically savvy listing agents. Frankly, the list is endless.

In conclusion, it's important to remember that hiring someone based on these tests is not the end, it's just the beginning. After screening and finding the best fit for the job, it's up to the employer or broker to train and guide the agent to be the best personally and professionally. Remember your agents are not just selling a home, they are selling a dream.
