Industry Relations Announces New Focus on RPR REALTOR® Service

June 15 2011

rpr newServiceIt is hard to believe that it was just 18 months ago when RPR was unveiled at the NAR Annual Convention in San Diego.  Since that time, REALTORS® all over the country have been checking out this new NAR member benefit, and MLSs and Associations continue to embrace this new tool as an important part of the value they bring to their members.  Recently RPR announced it had surpassed an important milestone, enrolling over 510,000 REALTORS®, represented by contracts with 287 MLSs.  This is a significant achievement, as RPR now has more REALTORS® enrolled in RPR, as it does REALTORS® waiting for their MLSs to work through the contract process.

RPR’s Industry Relations efforts, and our implementation focus, have been effective in our initial rollout, but it is important that we begin to evolve our resources from a primary focus on communication and sales to a combination of sales and account management.

Strengthened Emphasis on Service

To accomplish this new goal, we realigned the Industry Relations territories into two divisions, led by Ohan Antebian in the West, and Ron France in the East. Ohan and Ron will assure we maintain and support existing markets, grow adoption and enthusiasm for the application, and maintain high levels of satisfaction with the leadership of the content providers. To accomplish this, they will implement a comprehensive “Market Management” program in their territories. This program will include much more one on one communications and planning with MLS and Association staff, the creation and delivery of more customized training, and a collaborative focus on assuring REALTORS® understand how to leverage the value of RPR in their day to day business.

Leading the way as Senior Market Managers, Kristen Carr (East) and Kristen Hernandez (West) will have responsibilities in their respective territories focused on creating and maintaining relationships at the local market MLS or Association level, providing in-market support and training, and on-going relationship management.

At RPR, we are very excited about these changes, and think they will help us move past our initial “start up” phase, and allow us to be more integrated into the REALTORS® existing toolsets, making RPR even more valuable.

As always, we look forward to your feedback and suggestions.
