n4l are you great agentGreat real estate agents tend to follow six habits to guarantee they are maximizing their success:

1. Promptly return phone calls and emails

You get leads and don't let them go to waste, but immediately follow up with communication. You understand that clients can be nervous about closing and you are happy to stay on the phone with them to answer any and all questions and talk them through the process. The client will feel special through communication—which they are! Advice to make communication even more effective is to match your style to that of the client (i.e. if they prefer text/email to verbal phone calls). This will ensure optimal comfort.

2. Up-to-date on technology

Having the latest technology allows an agent to do anything from anywhere. You will also have the highest quality data plans to keep up with the growing amount of information that is essential to stay on top of so that you know you will never find yourself without a proper Internet connection. To stay on top of the fast pace of technology, you read articles on general trends of technology to ensure you don't miss out.

3.Confidently know their neighborhoods

Great agents know everything there is to know about their neighborhoods. As a great agent, you should be able to answer all question whether, prospects are looking to buy or sell. These days, anyone can look at houses online, but the top agents know what lurks below the surface and they keep their value that way.

4. Explain everything you are doing and why

Great agents understand that not everyone knows how the real estate industry works, especially if it's their first time buying or selling. Think of the best teacher you've ever had and remember why they were they best. Most likely they broke everything down for you and put it in the easiest, simplest terms so you had the best chance of understand. As an agent meeting with a client for the first time, you should explain the process, the potential roadblocks, and a few scenarios that could occur.

5. Go the extra mile to get leads

Having a social presence is a great way to earn leads. However, it is important to not just be present, but also be active. Great agents stay active with their clients through social media, advertising, and by even taking that extra step such as postcard mailings.

6. Have a great network

Have you ever heard the saying "It's not what you know, it's who you know?" Well, this couldn't be more accurate. Networking isn't simply having a certain number of Facebook friends or Twitter followers. It's about knowing how to provide everything needed in the home buying/selling business. You know the best contractors, appraisers, lenders, and insurance providers in the business. One of the easiest ways to do this is with a Home Services Directory embedded on your personal website and Facebook Business Page. This shows clients that you are an expert in your field and only provide them with the best. If clients have confidence in their agent, the agent's job gets a lot easier.

Overall, if you want to be great in your field, focus on customer service. Great customer service is about two things: knowledge and authenticity. Be an expert in your work and take a genuine interest in your client and their needs!
