Windows 10 Unveils New Possibilities

May 24 2015

techhelp win10 new poss"The time for change is now," seems to be the new business motto for Microsoft. With the debut of the Windows 10 operating system expected in July, 2015, users wonder what kind of changes they can expect.

To start, the ever-popular software company is bringing back the Start Menu, which will be "on" by default but can be turned "off" if users are partial to the Windows 8 start screen. The Windows community complained to Microsoft executives that they highly disapproved of no longer being able to click one icon and have access to everything.

As a result, the new Start Menu will feature a new, sleek look along with a quick-responding design. The updated Start Menu also has a quick and easy way to search, bringing back the standard Search bar on the bottom.

Along with the Start Menu, Microsoft has extended an amazing offer for current users of Windows 7 to 8.1. All users of Windows 7 and up will be eligible to receive a free, 1-year upgrade to Windows 10 upon its release. After the year is over, users will have to pay for it. However, it is a great way for Microsoft to show the confidence they have in their Windows 10 operating system and give customers the opportunity to test it out for themselves.

Overall, the changes made on Windows 10 are supposed to give the Windows 7 reliability, along with the Windows 8 sleek and smooth design, and an incredible performance increase. Windows 10 will have a newly-designed notification center, allowing users to see updates and messaging.
