As a REALTOR®, you always need to work at attracting and establishing good relationships with clients. This is the foundation of your real estate business so its importance can’t be emphasized enough. Consequently, engaging with industry peers is also beneficial because their experience can help make you a better REALTOR®.

As is the nature of all business, some REALTORS® are more successful than others. They work from a larger client list generated over several years, have a knack at finding the right properties for the right people or they might use real estate technology to boost their efficiency.

Austin, this is great advice. I would suggest another great way for sales professional, or really any professional to create acceleration in their profession is to get an accountability partner. Using someone from another area, maybe someone you meet at a trade show to talk with once a week to keep each other on track. I have done this personally with a Sr. VP from IBM I met at a conference in Boston. We talk on a weekly basis and we each know what our mutual goals are, issues, etc. By the way, I think the fact that she is not from the real estate industry is great and have found that she will ask me questions that are out of the box which gets me to look at things in new ways. Using someone in the real estate space is fine too of course.
