We follow the rule of "try before you buy" every day without even thinking about it. Of course, we should follow that same sound principal when we're purchasing an important business tool. That's why I'm thrilled to see many tech companies offering this option.

I feel that sometimes the Trial Period is too short and does not really give me a sufficient time to test out a product.

Donna - many times you can get your trial extended if you contact the sales department. They establish a trial time arbitrarily to get customers engaged in their company and product. So they should be flexible.

In fact, if they are not flexible on the trial period, it may be an indicator of how flexible they will be in providing customer service. Consider it a service test.
