RPR version 1.6 was released to production last night. The Databases were scheduled to be down for 3-4 hours, in case you noticed.

This is RPR's first release since April 15th of this year, following a rather consistent of pattern of pushing new code and functionality into their production environment every two months. RPR has released new functionality 5 times since going out of beta in September of 2010.

The focus of version 1.6 is site performance, data enhancements and more than 133 issues suggested by users. According to the 1.5 release notes, v.1.6 was due out in late spring, but it appears that the development and QA cycle rolled into early summer – a completely natural occurrence.

We look forward to looking at the new Broker Tools.

Today, users should look forward to enhanced search tools that should improve the ease of searches and the quality of reports.

Release notes for v1.6 are available on the RPR Knowledge Base.

Yesterday I was in front of about 50 agents and I mentioned RPR was "coming" soon to their MLS. I described RPR at a High Level and they all assumed there was a subscription cost! Boy were they happy when they found out they will have that great data embedded in their e-newsletters

Albert - have you learned of any adoption rate statistics?

by Albert Clark 2011-06-29 06:58:20
Victor. MRIS did not launch RPR Yet.. its planned so NO metrics in that region. I am going through the RPR installed footprint and alerting our agents that its available. So the answer is NO.. for now..

It will be interesting to see what the adoption rate will be of RPR. It is clearly a great product, but only great if agents use it every day. They pass 500,000 agents now, but I do not think that 125,000 agents are using it. If only a small percentage of agents are using it, it would show that RPR needs to move into driving adoption.

Driving adoption of member benefits is hard, even with core MLS services.

Agree, but for far too long agents have put tools on their website and expect increased adoption. When you ask the average agent ( an I do this in all our demos) how many web visitors they got yesterday or last week, they are quiet. I am of the mindset that a large % of agents have given up on doing more biz on their website-- usually the one provided free by their broker) I can say with certitude that 95% of everyone an agent knows RIGHT NOW will not be on their website this year. From Market Snapshot from TP, to Listingbook , RPR, RBINTEL.com ... I don't care what the tool is.. you have to get it seen by EVERYONE you know...and that will NOT happen by slapping it on an agent website. Adoption must be driven by Social and Email. Agents I talk to, on average, have over 176 email addresses JUST sitting in Outlook or Gmail.
