instanet_solutionsHere is a quick update on Instanet – a leader in online forms and transaction management for real estate agents. Their big product development launch this year is browser support for tablet computing. According to every technology mouthpiece in the real estate industry or elsewhere – tablet computing is here to stay, and Instanet is on top of it.

Instanet was one of the very first companies to bring real estate forms online. A unique feature about Instanet is the fact that they can offer an end-to-end solution for customers across the entire spectrum of transaction management products from efax to digital signature. Instanet is among the only Transaction Management product provider that offers full Transaction Management capabilities with their own forms and contracts product all under the same user interface.

When a company like Instanet determines to support tablet computers, they need to make an important decision right out of the gate – Mobile Browser vs. Device specific App. It is not an easy decision, as there are pros and cons to each choice.

Instanet choose to go down the path of mobile browser.  The primary benefit of this choice is that the Instanet software on the tablet works the same way as the software works from the desktop. There is no need for agents to re-learn how to use and navigate their program. Instanet automatically detects the browser the agent is using when they access their software, and provide the best possible browser experience.- the other huge advantage is that it will work on different types of tablets – IOS (iPad), Adroid, etc.

When accessing Instanet on a tablet through the browser, all of the differences in using their software are happening behind the scenes. In technical terms, the ways in which the software displays information on a screen uses code that is specialized for tablet browsers rather than desktop browsers.

According to company spokesperson Joe Kazzoun, “Instanet on the tablet has 90% of all features found in their desktop browser application.” The next important feature that they plan to roll out this year will be support for Authentisign signing creation.

Instanet_PhotoInstanet Solutions’ Authentisign is a online document signing service maintained on a secure browser. Authentisign enables multiple parties to participate and sign documents online. This helps speed up the transaction and sale process of many real estate transactions.

About Instanet Solutions:

In research WAV Group has conducted over the last 12 months we have seen the use of Digital Signature explode. I believe with the introduction of Digital Signature on more mobile devices such as Instanet is doing it will become the norm very quickly. If you aren't using Digital Signature it will be like not using email. I look forward to seeing this tool in action.

I would like to see our progressive state go totally green, but New York State Law prohibits the use of digital signatures so far. Perhaps this is something that will can look to in the future. We may fax contacts back and forth, but we still need a fully executed original at closing.
