ONLINE TRAINING, ONSITE SESSIONS POPULAR WITH CHARLESTON’S 4,200 MEMBERS IN ANTICIPATION OF USING REAL ESTATE’S “MOST AVAILABLE” APPOINTMENT CENTER

showing_time_logoChicago, IL – Dec. 5, 2011—Members of the Charleston Trident Multiple Listing Service, who participated in online training sessions in November, will take part in 16 onsite sessions in Charleston and Mt. Pleasant to learn more about the ShowingTime Appointment Center service launching for them on Dec. 6.

ShowingTime, the real estate industry’s leading showing management technology provider, announced in November that its Appointment Center service, along with ShowingAssist, its automated online scheduling system, was selected by the Charleston MLS to equip members to manage showings.

Charleston MLS members will be able to call the Appointment Center from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week to schedule showings, or login to the MLS anytime to schedule showings. The technology-rich services, currently used to schedule more than 2 million showings per month in more than 50 MLSs representing 400,000+ real estate professionals, improve efficiency by streamlining the appointment scheduling process.

“We’re looking forward to the Dec. 6 launch,” said MLS Director Joseph Cullom. “Our members have taken advantage of ShowingTime’s extensive training options and will benefit even further from the onsite sessions going on this week.”

Charleston offices and agents will have a single local phone number to call to request showings. They’ll also be able to confirm or reschedule showings from their smart phones when not available to take a call; homeowners can also confirm requests via 2-way text messaging. Agents using ShowingAssist can request showings 24/7 by clicking the “Schedule a Showing” button next to listings. Notifications are routed instantly according to the listing agent’s preferences.

“We are thrilled with the number of Charleston members who have participated with us in training over the past few weeks,” said ShowingTime Executive Vice President Michael Lane. “We’re looking forward to the go-live on Dec. 6 in addition to having a great couple of days of onsite training this week.”
