That time of year for meeting and interacting with other realtors from around the country is fast approaching. The third week of May marks this year's NAR MidYear event and if you have been to past NAR events, you already know why it's so important to head to Washington D.C. and attend. If you haven't been to a NAR MidYear meeting yet, the following are a few reasons that might convince you to go:
  • Professional society meetings: NAR, REBAC, RLI, CBR, CRS, and WCR will all be holding meetings. It's important for your career as a REALTOR® to be involved with professional societies and attend meetings to make connections and get updated on realty-related issues.
  • Learn from programs and presentations: Dozens of presentations and sessions are held that deal with a wide range of realty-related topics. These invaluable experiences are excellent ways to further your real estate industry knowledge.
  • Real estate legislation: The main reason for holding these important meetings in Washington D.C. isn't to give you some extra time for sight-seeing in the nation's capital. It's so REALTORS® can meet with their representatives and senators on Capital Hill and speak with them about issues related to the real estate industry. You can also participate in the Rally to Protect the American Dream!

At the NAR MidYear event, you might also learn about different types of real estate technology that help simplify communication with clients. Be sure to stop by the DotLoop booth to see how our transaction solution can help you get deals done!
