converse_shoesIt is easy sometimes to hear "inspirational" stories of remarkable billiionaire individuals who left a significant mark on our world and think it's just because they had...

  • More money
  • More opportunities
  • Better genes
  • Luck, etc.

Justin Cohen is a motivational speaker and creates creative videos that tell what he calls Big Little Stories, also the namesake of his website. In this video he reminds us that there is really only one thing that allows the seed of greatness to grow rampant in some and remain dormant in others.

Greatness is never planned. It is a combination of good timing, luck, and hard work. Oddly, I think that it is even harder to recognize greatness, and stick with it.

Greatness takes 5-10 years to develop. Look at Walt Disney - Bankrupt 13 times before his business began to soar. Half the guys at Facebook had no clue the company was going to grow that fast. Post-it notes were built for fun, not for fortune.

This was highly motivational and a helpful way to start off the week! I always try to look at the glass as half full, perspective counts for a lot!
