HTML is an acronym that stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is the programming language of the Internet, and it has been around since the internet first started.

Over the past two years, the latest version of this language, HTML5 came into use by programmers, and it is changing the Internet in magnificent ways.

Since you are unlikely to be a programmer, you only need to focus on what benefits you would receive if you have a website built in HTML5.

I just received a msg from my web designer, we are the 1st to receive and be approved as an html5 site, I was excited because we have the latest and greatest but frankly I didn't know what it meant. Thanks for the clarification ... in simple terms. Designer said we also have css3, huh? ok!

by the way CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets - In the old days, each webpage was built one at a time by hand. In the new world, it works more like powerpoint templates. To add a page, you select one of the designs from the style sheet and add it. Very easy.

Moreover, when you want to add something to your site, they update the style sheet and every page on your site that uses that style sheet displays the update. Again - very easy. The best news is that it avoids errors.
