1) Safety Tips at Open Houses

• Familiarize yourself with the exits and and unlock the deadbolts in case you encounter a situation that requires a quick exit.
• Be diligent with signing in prospects - this is not only a great follow up technique, but also a way to record attendees if anything is amiss after the open house.
• Trust your instincts - if your intuition tells you that something about a prospect or situation is not right, you are probably correct. Take the necessary steps to make sure you are safe, even if that means calling 911.

2) Safety Tips During Showings

• Prior to your appointments with new customers, let someone know whom you will be with, where you are going, and when you will return. Schedule a time to check in on your cell phone.
• Take the safest and most well lit route when driving to appointments in new neighborhoods. If it is a neighborhood that poses any possible threats, try to take a person you know with you. When you arrive at your destination, park in a well-lit area.
